2012 Teen Read ‘n’ Feed featuring Holly Black

Holly Black, bestselling author of contemporary fantasy novels for teens and children, will visit APL for our annual Teen Read ‘n’ Feed.

Holly has written numerous books over the last decade, spending many weeks on the New York Times Best Seller list.

Her first book, Tithe: A Modern Faerie Tale, was included in the American Library Association’s Best Books for Young Adults. She collaborated with her long-time friend Tony DiTerlizzi to create the bestselling Spiderwick Chronicles.

Students in grades 6 – 12, who have received a copy of White Cat, are invited to join us on Wednesday, March 28 at 6:00pm to meet Holly, enjoy pizza, and discuss her exciting book White Cat.

Teens MUST have a copy of White Cat to attend the Read ‘n’ Feed.  The book is their ticket into the event!

For more information and to register, click here or give us a call at 641-2456.

This program is made possible with funds from Madison County Community Foundation and Friends of Anderson Public Library.

SRP T-shirt Design winner!

Congratulations to Olivia Pike who had the winning design for this SRP T-shirt design contest!  We also want to congratulate the other finalists.  We had close to 70 entries and had many that were amazing.  Thanks to all who participated.  Be on the lookout for the final version of the design when I visit the schools in May to promote our SRP.  It will be awesome and trust me everyone will want to read their 15 hours to earn one!  Congrats again to Olivia!
