    Why or why not?
While it has a pretty large vocabulary (seriously, you may need a dictionary) and some complex ideas in it, it’s a really good book for anyone remotely interested in philosophy, life, or art. There isn’t a huge plot as it’s basically a collection of poetic essays on moments of everyday life, but it reads very quickly and is very thought-provoking.

Name a favorite scene or character in the book, without giving anything away!
One of the chapters describes a rugby match (the book takes place in France and was originally written in French) that Paloma, the younger of the two protagonists, sees on TV. It’s describing the movement of one player on the opposing team and it’s a very poetic chapter.
Paloma is definitely my favorite character, for reasons that would give away the plot.

Would you read this book again? YES (and I have)
