Books from May booktalks for grades 6-8

Hi! I have started my May booktalks at the middle and high schools, so if you haven’t seen me yet then chances are you will very soon!  Here are the books that I will be bringing with me to sixth through eighth grade classes.  We have some awesome ones this time around and in a way they all tie into our Teen Summer Reading theme: Beneath the Surface!

Silent to the Bone by E.L. Konigsburg

Lincoln’s Grave Robbers by Steve Sheinkin (author of Bomb and one of our recent Festival authors!)

Liar & Spy by Rebecca Stead

How they croaked by Georgia Bragg

Incarceron by Catherine Fisher

The city of Ember by Jeanne DuPrau

Holes by Louis Sachar

The looking-glass wars by Frank Beddor

Titanic: Voices from the disaster by Deborah Hopkinson

Happy Reading!
